Treatment service providers get a similarly manipulated view of addicts: individuals who keep coming back aren't common they're just the ones who require the most help.This is one of many factors why I prefer to see dependency as a learning or developmental condition, instead of taking the classical disease view. If dependency truly were a main, persistent, progressive illness, natural healing rates would not be so high and dependency would not have such a noticable peak occurrence in young individuals.
